Wotmix?
The Hotmixes started life in late 2005 as the FakeID hotmix, back in those lonely days when Ian Geek was doin' stuff on his ownio, and wanted some of his fave tunes in a nice premixed selection for those long and boring trips to and from gigs 'n' that. Each month would see a new collection of electro, space disco, italo, breaks or whatever found its way onto the hard drive, neatly diced and spliced into a seamless mix, where the emphasis was on listenability and flow rather than banging out tune after tune.
Thats not to say there weren't a fair few banging tunes on there though, and the mixes soon became popular outside the confines of the geekmobile, with a new mix every month for the best part of two years, mounting up a fair few hours of listening. Not to mention quite a hefty bill from the increasingly less friendly ISP. So they stopped. Sorry :(
Since then Hotmix has been on hiatus for a while, but they're back now in a semi-regular form. Yay! Calling them monthly might be stretching it a bit now, but its better than nothing eh? :)
