Royksopp “Tricky Tricky” (Geek Chics Sixes and Sevens remix)

Röyksopp have announced a remix competition, with the opportunity to muck about with the forthcoming single “Tricky Tricky”. So obviously Ian Geek couldn’t resist having a go…

The original is one of the Norwegian duo’s noisier efforts, topped off with Karin Deijer-Andersson’s distinctive vocals (Fever Ray, The Knife). Ian decided to ditch most of the original backing, re-make the few bits he kept from scratch, and turned it into an 80’s synth-pop inspired effort.
